AURORA, Ill. – One person was taken into custody after a fake gun accidentally discharged at an Aurora mall Saturday afternoon.

The Aurora Police Department said at around 4:40 p.m., officers were sent to the Fox Valley Mall to investigate reports of a shot fired inside. Officers later determined an “imitation firearm” accidentally discharged when the device fell to the ground from the suspect’s clothing.
