Officers assist motorists and discover guns & narcotics; says Many Police

MANY, La. ( KTAL/KMSS ) — Many Police Department shared they stopped to assist a motorist who had run out of gas, and one of the officers identified a passenger with an active warrant.

On June 27th, Many Police Department (MPD) shared via social media that the passenger was taken into custody, and upon searching the vehicle, they discovered six firearms.

“Both adult occupants were found to be convicted felons,” shares MPD.

Officers revealed during the search that they allegedly found more narcotics.

Many Police detailed they contacted the Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS), and the young juvenile was released to a family member.

This is an ongoing investigation.
