BOSSIER PARISH, La. ( KTAL/KMSS ) – A Haughton man was arrested after he was allegedly seen dropping kittens from a moving vehicle.

According to the Bossier Parish Sheriff’s Office, Phillip Shaun Bramlett, 41, was seen on August 7 dropping four kittens out of the window of a vehicle while driving on Highway 157 in Bossier Parish.

A concerned witness reported seeing Bramlett drop a kitten from his vehicle’s driver’s side window and three more kittens on Bellevue Road. The witness told BPSO detectives that Bramlett nearly ran over the kittens after he discarded them on the road.

Patrol deputies searched the area for the kittens, but none were found.

BPSO investigators contacted Bramlett after identifying him as a suspect. At that time, he denied dropping the kittens but admitted that four were missing from his home.

Evidence obtained by BPSO showed Bramlett dropping a kitten from his vehicle, corroborating the eyewitness statement that led to his arrest.

He was booked into Bossier Max on a $25,000 bond.
