    2 drug arrests made in St. Tammany Parish following anonymous tips

    ST. TAMMANY PARISH, La. ( WGNO ) — Two men have been arrested in unrelated drug cases after the St. Tammany Parish Sheriff’s Office received anonymous tips about them.

    According to the STPSO, one tip, which reported that drugs were being distributed in the 20000 block of House Road near Covington, led to the arrest of a Covington-area man, identified as 43-year-old Christopher Tanner.

    Just before 2:30 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 21, detectives stopped a vehicle near the intersection of Highway 1081 and House Road. During the stop, they made contact with Tanner.

    In searching him and his vehicle, detectives allegedly found around 100 fentanyl tablets, one hydrocodone tablet, one Diazepam tablet, 11 suspected Adderall pills, around three grams of methamphetamine, around 279 grams of marijuana, a digital scale and packing material.

    Following the execution of a search warrant at Tanner’s House Road home, an additional roughly three ounces of methamphetamine, nine grams of marijuana and $2,400 were seized.

    Tanner was arrested and booked into the St. Tammany Parish Correctional Center on the following charges:

    • Possession with the Intent to distribute a schedule I CDS.
    • Possession with the Intent to distribute a schedule II CDS (methamphetamine.)
    • Possession with the Intent to distribute a schedule II CDS (fentanyl.)
    • Possession of a schedule II (3 counts.)
    • Possession of a schedule IV (2 counts.)
    • Possession of drug paraphernalia.
    • Proceeds involving proceeds from drug transactions.
    • Driving under suspension.

    The STPSO reported that the other tip, which reported illicit drug activity at a home in the 25000 block of West Spruce Street in Lacombe, led to the arrest of Samuel “Fat Head” Ducre on Thursday, Aug. 15.

    The tip alleged that Ducre had been distributing drugs from his West Spruce Street residence. Detectives in the investigation had prior knowledge of Ducre as a registered sex offender with an address listed in Mandeville.

    In searching the home, detectives found 2.4 grams of methamphetamine, nine blue M/30 fentanyl pills, several THC related products and evidence that Ducre had been staying at the West Spruce Street residence rather than his Mandeville home.

    Ducre was arrested and booked into the St. Tammany Parish Correctional Center on the following charges:

    • Failure of sex offender to notify change of address.
    • Possession of a schedule II CDS (methamphetamine.)
    • Possession of a schedule II CDS (fentanyl.)
    • Possession of a schedule I CDS (THC.)
    • Possession of drug paraphernalia.
