Ken Trahan reflects on relationship with Ed Daniels and discusses fundraising efforts for his family

NEW ORLEANS ( WGNO ) — Ken Trahan, the Owner and CEO of CrescentCitySports.com, has known WGNO Sports Director Ed Daniels for more than 50 years.

Daniels did not have any siblings, but Trahan was family.

Their friendship started at Archbishop Rummel High School and grew throughout the years along with their prep sports broadcasting empires.

Trahan joined Friday Night Football during Friday’s tribute show to reflect on his time with Daniels.

Trahan also discussed ongoing fundraising efforts to help his wife, Robin, and the family cover medical costs associated with the weeks of treatment in multiple hospitals.

The campaign begins Saturday at Lamarque Ford on Williams Boulevard in Kenner. It runs from 10 a.m. to noon.
