Kenner man killed in Cut Off crash involving two dump trucks

CUT OFF, La. ( WGNO ) — Deputies with the Lafourche Parish Sheriff’s Office are investigating a crash that left a Kenner man dead in Cut Off on Monday, Aug. 26.

The LPSO reported the crash happened on a dirt roadway off East 40th Street around 12 p.m.

LPSO deputies said an investigation revealed that two dump trucks, one driven by 37-year-old Leonardo Martinez, collided head-on.

Martinez was pronounced dead at the scene. LPSO officials said the driver of the other dump truck was airlifted to a New Orleans hospital and was last reported to be in stable condition.

The investigation is ongoing, and additional information has not been released.
