    OKC Thunder announces Texarkana musician to join Thunder Drummers

    TEXARKANA, USA ( KTAL/KMSS ) – The Oklahoma City Thunder announced the 2024-25 roster for its home game entertainment, and a name familiar to the Texarkana music scene was on the list.

    Newly selected members of the OKC Thunder Drummers and Storm Chasers were selected to serve as part of the team’s overall fan entertainment experience.

    Kacy Harvey was among the newly selected Thunder Drummers whose job was to keep Thunder fans excited during home games and serve as team ambassadors at community events and other activations across the state.

    “Thunder home games are known across the NBA for their great energy and lively environment,” said Cristhian Guzman, performance teams manager. “Our entertainment groups are an integral part of that experience for our fans.”

    Thunder Drummers are Dejuan Franklin, Teavion Morris, and Steven Shawn of Oklahoma City; Coda Brown and Stephen Frailey of Edmond, Okla.; Shea Middleton of Norman, Okla.; Michael Atoyebi of Yukon, Okla.; Juan Linares of Blanchard, Okla.; Jacob Blue of Chickasha, Okla.; Sean McDuffie of Tulsa, Okla.; Kacy Harvey of Texarkana, Ark.; and Levi Sherman of Riverside, Calif.

    Also selected ahead of the upcoming season were the Storm Chasers, essentially the team’s pep squad who lead the home crowd in chants, run with flags, and engage in promotional events on the courts, including T-shirt distribution. Future Storm Chasers are TJ Smith, Lai Johnson, Jaydn Jones, Audrey Walker, Estrella Saenz, Mason Newcomb, and Quaint’e Swain of Oklahoma City; Harrison Higdon of Edmond, Okla.; McKenna Leewright of Guthrie, Okla.; Nemo Raghavan of Mustang, Okla.; Colton Tysdal of Lawton, Okla.; Dion Hill, Patrick Wells, Kealyn Baldtrip and Derrick Bryce of Tulsa, Okla; Michael Walker III of Omaha, Neb.; Julianna Bravo of Downey, Calif.; Jaqueline McKinney of Piscataway, N.J.; and Jasmin Gatimu of Sydney, Australia.
