    Free concert series returning to Gonzales this fall: Dates, times, music artists

    BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) — Music in the Park, a free community concert series, is returning to Gonzales at the end of September.

    According to a news release, this is the city’s first time hosting Music in the Park since the COVID-19 pandemic. This fall, attendees will hear live performances by Joel Jones & 3MC , brassy beats with The Michael Foster Project and favorite hits from the 60s through today with Downbeat Louisiana .

    “Our people are one of our greatest assets, and our city government is committed to creating opportunities for our residents to gather and cherish their time together,” said Interim Mayor Ryland Percy. “We are excited to see the long-awaited return of our free concert series, and we look forward to welcoming our friends and neighbors to the Jambalaya Park amphitheater.”

    The series is open to the public and bringing lawn chairs or blankets is encouraged.

    Music in the Park Schedule:

    • Joel Jones & 3MC – 3 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 29
    • The Michael Foster Project – 2 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 20
    • Downbeat Louisiana – 2 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 17
