One found dead in early morning New Orleans homicide

NEW ORLEANS ( WGNO ) — In the early morning hours of Saturday, a man was found dead near the intersection of Napoleon Avenue and South Dorgenios Street.

According to the New Orleans Police Department, officers were called to the scene around 5:20 a.m. on Aug 31. On arrival, they found the victim on the ground next to a bicycle.

The person was declared dead by New Orleans EMS and, after being taken to the coroner’s office, was determined to have been the victim of a homicide.
