Chauvin man found unresponsive in idling car; arrested on drug charges

TERREBONNE PARISH, La. ( WGNO ) — A Terrebonne Parish man was arrested in connection to a drug bust in August.

The Terrebonne Parish Sheriff’s Office reported that deputies found an unresponsive man in an idling car in a parking lot in the 200 block of Magnolia Street. TPSO officials said they identified the man as 41-year-old Gary Robertson and “observed indicators of suspected drug use.”

According to the TPSO narcotics and a weapon were seen in the car and Robertson “did not appear to be suffering from a medical related issue.”

During a search of the car, TPSO deputies said they recovered heroin, marijuana, crack cocaine, methamphetamines and more than $1,100 in cash.

Robertson was arrested and faces charges of possession with the intent to distribute heroin, possession with the intent to distribute CDS II (crack cocaine), possession with the intent to distribute CDS II (methamphetamines), possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, transactions involving proceeds from drug offenses and unrelated warrants.
