    Two women wounded in separate shootings across New Orleans

    NEW ORLEANS ( WGNO ) — The New Orleans Police Department is investigating two separate shootings that happened early Monday morning, Sept. 9, and sent two women to the hospital.

    The first shooting reportedly happened in Algiers in the 3200 block of Rue Parc Fountaine.

    Man arrested following domestic battery call, officer-involved shooting in Mid-City

    NOPD officers said a woman suffered a gunshot wound and was taken to a hospital. The was no update on her condition.

    The second shooting happened hours later around 4:24 a.m. in the Tremé area. NOPD Officers were alerted of the shooting at the corner of North Johnson Street and Esplanade Avenue.

    A woman was wounded and taken to a hospital. Her condition is also unknown.

    No further details are available at this time. The NOPD is in the process of gathering evidence and information to determine possible suspects and motives.
