Orleans Parish
Cabrini High School — Cabrini High School will be closing at 12:15 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 10 and will remain closed all day on Wednesday, Sept. 11. All after-school activities, including the Afterschool Lab, are canceled for both Tuesday and Wednesday. Normal operations are planned for Thursday, Sept. 12. Updates will be posted to the school’s social media.
All New Orleans public schools and the central office will be closed on Wednesday, Sept. 11, and Thursday, Sept. 12.
New Orleans Maritime and Military Academy will have early release on Tuesday, Sept. 10 at 2:20 p.m. Classes will be fully online on Wednesday, Sept. 11, and, weather permitting, normal operations will resume on Thursday, Sept. 12.
Southern University of New Orleans will be open for a half day on Tuesday, Sept. 10, and closed on Wednesday, Sept. 11 and Thursday, Sept. 12.
All Catholic schools in the New Orleans area will be closed on Wednesday, Sept. 11. Additionally, schools are asked to cancel all after-school activities on Tuesday to allow school families and all school faculty and staff to prepare for the storm.
St. John Lutheran will be open on Tuesday but no aftercare or afterschool activities. The school will be closed on Wednesday and Thursday.
Classes at University of New Orleans will be delivered remotely Tuesday, Sept. 10. Non-essential workers will also work remotely for the remainder of the day. Classes will be canceled on Wednesday, Sept. 11 and the campus will be closed but on-campus dining will be available for students. Classes will also be held remotely on Thursday, Sept. 12.
Archbishop Chapelle High School will be closed on Wednesday, Sept. 11 and Thursday, Sept. 12. School officials said the school will close at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday and reopen on Friday, Sept. 13.
Classes at Xavier University at 5 p.m. on Tuesday will be held remotely and classes will be cancelled on Wednesday, Sept. 11. University officials said classes on Thursday, Sept. 12, will be remote.
Holy Cross School will remain closed on Thursday, Sept. 12.
Jefferson Parish
All Jefferson Parish public schools will be closed on Wednesday, Sept. 11, and Thursday, Sept. 12.
Grand Isle School, Leo E. Kerner Jr. Elementary School and Fisher Middle/High School will all have an additional closure on Tuesday, Sept. 10.
Jefferson RISE Charter School will dismiss early at 12:15 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 10 and will be closed on Wednesday, Sept. 11 and Thursday, Sept. 12 due to Tropical Storm Francine.
St. Angela Merici, St. Francis Xavier and St. Therese Academy will remain closed on Thursday, Sept. 12.
John Curtis Christian School will be closed on Wednesday, Sept. 11, and Thursday, Sept. 12.
St. Tammany Parish
All St. Tammany Parish Public Schools and support sites will be closed on Wednesday, Sept. 11 and Thursday, Sept. 12 due to Tropical Storm Francine.
Afterschool care will take place on Tuesday, Sept. 10 but all afterschool activities, sports and clubs have been canceled and will be rescheduled.
Northshore Kids Academy in Slidell will be closed on Wednesday, Sept. 11, and Thursday, Sept. 12 due to Tropical Storm Francine.
Archbishop Hannan High School will remain closed on Thursday, Sept. 12, and asynchronous remote learning will continue.
Mary, Queen of Peace, Our Lady of Lourdes, Our Lady of the Lake, St. Paul School, St. Peter School and St. Scholastica Academy will remain closed on Thursday, Sept. 12.
St. Bernard Parish
Students at all St. Bernard Parish Public schools and facilities will have an early dismissal On Tuesday, Sept. 10 and will remain closed in Wednesday, Sept. 11 and Thursday, Sept. 12 in preparation for Tropical Storm Francine.
Dismissal will begin at 2 p.m. for Chalmette High School , C.F. Rowley Alternative School , and W. Smith Elementary School followed by the remaining middle and elementary schools.
All afterschool activities have been canceled
Nunez Community College will switch to virtual operations starting at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 10, and will close on Wednesday, Sept. 11, and Thursday, Sept. 12.
Washington Parish
St. Charles Parish
All St. Charles Parish public schools and the school board office will be closed on Wednesday, Sept. 11, and Thursday, Sept 12.
St. Charles Borromeo School will remain closed on Thursday, Sept. 12.
Tangipahoa Parish
Southeastern Louisiana University will shift to remote/online classes at 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept 10. All activities, both on-campus and at satellite locations, will be cancelled.
Southeastern will be closed from Wednesday, Sept. 11 through Thursday, Sept. 12, until 12:30 p.m., when normal operations are scheduled to resume.
Schools in the Tangipahoa Parish School System will be closed on Wednesday, Sept. 11, and Thursday, Sept. 12. After school activities will be cancelled after 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 10.
Terrebonne Parish
All Terrebonne Parish School District schools and offices will be closed on Wednesday, Sept. 11 and Thursday, Sept. 12 due to the potential impact of Tropical Storm Francine.
St. John the Baptist Parish
All St. John the Baptist Parish public schools and district offices will be closed on Wednesday, Sept. 11, and Thursday, Sept. 12.
Classes will be held on Tuesday, Sept 10, however, after school activities are canceled.
Ascension of Our Lord, St. Charles Catholic High School, St. Joan of Arc and St. Peter School will remain closed on Thursday, Sept. 12.
St. James Parish
Plaquemines Parish
All Plaquemines Parish schools and offices will release early on Tuesday, Sept. 10 and will be closed on Wednesday, Sept. 11 due to Tropical Storm Francine. This is to give families and staff enough time to prepare for the severe weather.
All Belle Chasse area schools will dismiss at their normal times.
Belle Chasse Academy will be closed on Wednesday, Sept. 11, and Thursday, Sept. 12.
Lafourche Parish
All Lafourche Parish schools and offices, including Nicholls State University and Fletcher Technical Community College, will be closed on Wednesday, Sept. 11, and Thursday, Sept. 12, due to Tropical Storm Francine. Classes will be held remotely on Friday.
Classes will be held as usual on Tuesday, Sept. 10, but after school activities will be canceled.
Decisions regarding closures on Friday will reportedly be made on Thursday.
