FNF Southern Quality Ford Dealers Scholar-Athlete of the Week: Holy Cross’ Joshua Adams

NEW ORLEANS ( WGNO ) — Joshua Adams is a Holy Cross man making the most of his Holy Cross opportunity as an AP Scholar with a 4.76 weighted GPA, and 30 on the ACT.

He’s a student ambassador, and a member of the national honor society, student council, and peer ministry team.

“I love it here. I love Holy Cross. I have family that went to Holy Cross. My parents pay a lot of money for me to go here and I like to make the most of it. I want to be involved in everything. I want to be on the student council. I want to do my best out here on the field, to do my best in the classroom. I like being an ambassador. I want to give the school everything that I’ve got because the school has given so much to me,” said Holy Cross senior Joshua Adams.

Joshua Adams is a true scholar-athlete, leading by example in the classroom and on the football field as a team captain for Scott Wattigny’s football team.

“Not only is he disciplined in the classroom, but I mean, he’s disciplined out here in football, I mean, his commitment in the classroom and the level of classes that he takes just goes to show what he has to do every morning where we have a zero hour period where he’s got to come here at 6:45 to get his left in, because he doesn’t have PE. He’s taking all kinds of really cool classes while everybody else is in PE classes. He’s just such a pleasure to coach. You know, I’m fortunate I’ve been able to be with him for the last two years, and he deserves this more than anything because of just the amount of work and effort he’s put in. He strives for excellence in everything that he does, classroom-related, his involvement in school, and then obviously on the football side,” said Holy Cross head coach Scott Wattigny.

After high school, Joshua Adams wants to major in Political Science and pursue law at schools like LSU or Alabama.
