HAMMOND, La. ( WGNO ) — Deputies with the Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s Office have identified a man who is accused of shooting another man on Interstate 12 in Hammond in August.

On Aug. 30, the TPSO reported that a man had been shot while he was driving on I-12 between the Pumpkin Center exit and the DPS Weight Station around 4 a.m. He then reportedly drove to a Livingston Parish gas station, where he stopped and called law enforcement.

He was taken to hospital for treatment and was released on the same day.

TPSO officials said the victim told investigators that he saw a car exit at Pumpkin Center.

On Monday, Sept. 23, TPSO officials identified 35-year-old Bronze Williams as the suspect and obtained a warrant for his arrest on a charge of attempted murder after receiving a tip from the community.
