    New Orleans bar reopens after porch collapses during Saints game

    NEW ORLEANS ( WGNO ) — A New Orleans bar is reopening its doors after its porch collapsed during a New Orleans Saints game on Sunday, Sept. 22.

    Wrong Iron will begin welcoming guests at 4 p.m. on Wednesday after being closed for two days while repairs were being made.

    New Orleans police, EMS and fire crews responded to the collapsed patio around 1:37 p.m. on Sunday.

    According to the bar’s owner, the porch sunk in after fans watching the Saints game headed to the covered patio area as it started to rain.

    The NOPD reported that one person was taken to a hospital with minor injuries, and four others were treated at the scene.

    On Tuesday, Wrong Iron took to social media to announce the bar will reopen at 4 p.m. on Wednesday. However, the front porch area will remain closed.

    The post states that guests can still stop by and enjoy the inside bar, patio and kitchen.
