    Entergy Group President of Utility Operations Rod West to retire

    NEW ORLEANS ( WGNO ) — Officials with Entergy have announced that its group president of utility operations is planning to retire in 2025.

    According to a news release, Rod West will be retiring on Jan. 31, 2025, after 25 years with the company.

    During his time at Entergy, West oversaw the operational and financial performance in Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi and Texas.

    Entergy officials said some of his teams’ notable achievements include approval from Entergy Louisiana to invest $1.9 billion to build a more resilient grid in the next five years and Entergy Mississippi’s partnership with Amazon Web Services.

    “Rod’s strategic vision and leadership and his ability to manage competing stakeholder interests has consistently led to successful outcomes. He has been a leading champion for innovation, new solutions and technologies that have helped transform the way we serve our customers and grow our business,” said Entergy Chair and CEO Drew Marsh.

    Entergy officials said West played an integral role in improving customer outcomes, strengthening the grid and industrial growth in the region.

    West will transition into the role of a strategic adviser starting on Nov. 1 to assist with making a plan for a smooth transition before his retirement takes effect in January 2025.
