Bayou Royalty! Carrigan heads to South Terrebonne High to crown 2024 homecoming queen

BOURG, La. ( WGNO ) — It was an honor for WGNO’s Carrigan Chauvin to be crowned homecoming queen of South Terrebonne High School back in 2014.

10 years later, it’s an honor she will bestow upon the 2024 queen!

She told her WGNO team that it was a very special night that she will never forget, and she’s hopeful to share that experience with the 2024 queen. It’s an extra special night because her cousin Kirsten LeBlanc is on the homecoming court as well!

It all is happening at the perfect time. Carrigan just moved back to Louisiana after spending the last decade in other cities, the latest being in Houston, Texas.

Carrigan’s family, friends and former teachers will be in attendance, all excited to give a warm welcome back to our Bayou Royalty.

Tonight, the football game will kick off at 7:00 p.m. Before the game, there will be a ceremony where the homecoming court is announced. At halftime, the queen will be crowned.

The homecoming dance is Saturday, Sept. 28, that is where the homecoming king will be crowned.

South Terrebonne will take on South Lafourche for the homecoming game.
