    Double reward now offered in unsolved Amite double murder

    AMITE, La. ( WGNO ) — On July 23 of this year, a woman in Amite called 911 to report she’d been shot. When police arrived at the scene, they found the woman and her boyfriend dead, both with gunshot wounds. Two months later, the double murder remains unsolved. The case is the latest one to roll on the Wheel of Justice.

    The crime scene was a mobile home in the 600 block of Martin Luther King Street, where both of the victims lived. The Amite Police Department, Louisiana State Police and Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s Office are all involved in the investigation.

    According to the TPSO, the victims in the case were Chrissy Jenkins and her boyfriend, Christopher Hedgewood. Initially, the case had a $5,000 reward. But now, the TPSO and Crime Stoppers of Tangipahoa Parish are doubling it to $10,000.

You don’t have to reveal your name or testify in court to be eligible to collect the reward.

    So far, more than 470 people have been booked after their cases rolled on the Wheel of Justice.
