Moderate injuries reported in Bonnet Carre Spillway crash

NEW ORLEANS ( WGNO ) — Louisiana State Police are investigating a crash involving an 18-wheeler on the Spillway that happened Friday, Oct. 4.

Around 5 a.m., troopers responded to the scene of a crash on Interstate 10 near mile marker 213.

Moderate injuries were reported as a result of the crash according to troopers.

The crash left the westbound lane of the Spillway closed as traffic was diverted to Interstate 213.

Lanes reopened at 7 a.m. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
