Four years later, fatal Slidell hit and run still unsolved

SLIDELL, La. ( WGNO ) — Around 10:30 on the night of October 6, 2020, Louisiana State Police say a woman’s body was discovered along the side of I-12 in the Slidell area. Hours before her death, she’d been reported as a missing person. Four years later, the case remains unsolved.

According to state police, the woman’s body was found along the shoulder of the westbound lanes of the interstate, a little east of Highway 11. Troopers say her injuries were consistent with being hit by a car, but they say the driver of the car left the scene.

Troopers say there was very little evidence at the scene, so they do not have a description of the car that may have been involved.
