Plaquemines Parish deputy involved in crash while on duty

PLAQUEMINES PARISH, La. ( WGNO ) — A Plaquemines Parish Sheriff’s Office deputy is recovering after being involved in a crash.

The Sheriff’s Office posted to social media on Wednesday, Oct. 9 that the unnamed deputy had been involved in a motorcycle crash while on duty.

The deputy is currently in ICU and is listed in stable condition, according to the sheriff’s office.

Deputies thanked the New Orleans Police Department for their “critical assistance” in the incident.
