Shots fired during Uptown 911 call involving New Orleans police officer

NEW ORLEANS ( WGNO ) — The New Orleans Police Department is on the scene of an incident involving an officer.

They reported responding to the call of an officer in need of assistance in the 1200 block of State Street.

An investigation revealed that an officer “discharged their service weapon” during a call for service.

Currently, there are no reports of injuries. No further information is available.
