HOUMA, La. ( WGNO ) — Two men have been arrested in connection with a drive-by shooting that occurred in Houma on Wednesday, Oct. 9.

The initial investigation showed evidence at the scene identifying a suspect vehicle as a tan SUV.

Authorities were reportedly able to link the vehicle to an address in the 300 block of Hobson Street, where the vehicle was located when deputies arrived.

Detectives reportedly spoke with the owner of the SUV and the occupants of the residence, who were identified as Lance Harold Jr. and Noel Naverro Jr. Both Harold and Naverro were brought in for questioning, detectives searched the home under a warrant and the SUV was brought in to be investigated further.

Both Harold and Naverro allegedly admitted to being in the vehicle at the time of the shooting, however both denied knowing the responsible party, being in possession of a weapon and firing a weapon during the incident. Following a search of the vehicle, detectives reportedly found evidence which was inconsistent with the suspects’ statements.

Both Harold and Naverro were both arrested on charges of aggravated assault by drive-by shooting and have been jailed at the Terrebonne Parish Criminal Justice Complex. They are each being held on a $100,000 bond.
