Homicide investigation underway after man fatally shot in St. Roch neighborhood

NEW ORLEANS ( WGNO ) — Officers with the New Orleans Police Department are investigating a shooting that left a man dead in the St. Roch neighborhood on Monday, Oct. 14.

The NOPD reported that officers responded to the 2500 block of North Miro Street around 7 p.m., where they found a man who had been shot.

He was pronounced dead at the scene by EMS.

The investigation is ongoing, and the Orleans Parish coroner will perform an autopsy.
