RTA offers free rides on early-voting Saturdays and election day

NEW ORLEANS ( WGNO ) — The New Orleans Regional Transit Authority will be waving fares for Saturdays during the early voting period as well as on election day.

According to RTA officials, riders will be able to ride on RTA buses, streetcars and ferries for free on Oct. 19, Oct 26 and Tuesday, Nov 5.

Riders won’t have to show proof of voter registration or any RTA passes.
