NEW ORLEANS ( WGNO ) — A farewell second line and parade to honor the life and legacy of longtime New Orleans journalist Eric Paulsen has been scheduled for Tuesday, Oct. 29.

The legendary WWL anchor, died Saturday, Oct. 26 after a battle with cancer at the age of 74. He recently stepped down from the anchor desk after announcing the “fairly aggressive” diagnosis on Sept. 18.

“I’m not a person who worries about a lot in life, and I’ve always been a fighter. This is a fight I don’t welcome, but I’m ready for this battle.”
