Orchard Park, N.Y. (WGR Sports Radio 550) - The Buffalo Bills fell short on the scoreboard 31 to 26 in their final outing of the 2024 preseason against the Carolina Panthers. Bills head coach Sean McDermott was pleased with his offense's performance, especially the two new backup quarterbacks, Ben DiNucci and Anthony Brown, adjusting so well and creating an offensive rhythm for the team.

"Both quarterbacks were impressive, short run up with practice time. I thought the coaches did a really good job with getting them functional and I tip my cap to those guys. They went in and executed, were able to run the offense and get us in somewhat of a rhythm on multiple drives."

Now that the preseason has wrapped up, it is time for the Bills to cut their 90 man roster down to a 53 man roster. McDermott spoke on how this can be tough and even though it is the business, it's not easy by any means.

"Its extremely difficult, the relationships that we are blessed to have formed with these young men, the conversations you are able to have. Whether its in the spring or at St. John Fisher for camp or on a trip to Pittsburgh in the off times and the gaps between the schedules and meetings. You get a chance to learn that these guys are real human beings with real lives that are trying to make it."

The Bills are off next weekend after the roster goes from 90 players to 53 coming up on Tuesday as the team gears up for the start of their regular season on Sunday, September 8th.
