Miami, FL (WGR Sports Radio 550) - The Buffalo Bills begin Week 2 of the NFL season with an impressive 31-10 victory over division rival the Miami Dolphins on Thursday Night Football.

The big story of the night was the Bills defense, Buffalo forced three interceptions from Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa including one that was returned for a touchdown. The Bills defense was also able to hold Dolphins offense one for five one fourth downs in the game.

The Bills defense once again lost another key player to their defense, linebacker and captain Terrel Bernard left the game with a pectoral injury and did not return. Head coach Sean McDermott said after the game that he does not know the severity of the injury. Baylon Spector was thrusted into the lineup and helped the Bills hold the Dolphin offense in check.

"These guys work hard, so good things happen when you work hard, and sometimes the ball finds you like that." McDermott said postgame. "And again, it was a good team win. So all three phases. It's not about one person, but again, all three phases factored in the win."

The Bills on a short week were able to win two games in five days. McDermott was happy that they were able to play their style of football on a short week.

"We played our style of football and, and I think we've got to, things to do, to work and get some rest, like I said, But continuing to groove our football and what we're trying to do and what we're trying to become." McDermott said postgame.
