West Midtown is getting a new sporting club.

Padel Haus has announced a new location planned for Atlanta, slated to open its doors in early 2025.

The new 24,500-square-foot facility will be located at Westside Paper , a repurposed paper manufacturing campus in West Midtown. This is the seventh club announced by Padel Haus and the first dedicated padel club in Atlanta.

Padel is a racket-based sport described as a mix between tennis and squash. It is believed to have been invented in Mexico in 1969. The sport is particularly popular in Latin America, Europe and the Middle East.

Padel Haus opened New York City’s first padel club in Williamsburg in July 2022 and has since expanded to multiple locations with plans for more, including in Denver and Nashville.

The Atlanta club will feature six courts, including one center court for international competition. There will also be amenities like Juice Haus, upscale locker rooms with rain showers, a pro shop, and the Padel Haus Academy for padel instruction.

“We are thrilled to bring Padel Haus and this exciting sport to the vibrant Atlanta community, which boasts a thriving racket sports culture,” Padel Haus founder and CEO Santiago Gomez said in a news release. “With the Atlanta BeltLine set to reach our doorstep by 2025, the enhanced connectivity and artistic influence of the neighborhood make this an ideal location for us. Westside Paper is a transformative project combining modern design with Atlanta’s industrial past. The uniqueness of our space here will mark one of the most iconic padel clubs in the world.”

Reimagined by F C P and Westbridge , Westside Paper is a 70-year-old former paper manufacturing plant that has been transformed into a mixed-use development.

Shelbi Bodner with Bridger Properties represented Westside Paper and Max Talapar with Capricorn Real Estate represented Padel Haus in securing the space.
