A burrito food truck from the East Coast is expanding to Atlanta.

Bro-Ritos is working on its first brick-and-mortar location outside of New Jersey, with the burrito concept coming to The Collective Food Hall at CODA in Midtown.

“The food hall is great for us, introducing ourselves to this new market,” owner Marcus Crawford told What Now Atlanta . “This is a way for us to do that. It puts us in a position to have more success than opening on a random street.”

Founded in 2016, Bro-Ritos has two food trucks in New Jersey, as well as two kiosks at the Prudential Center, a sports and entertainment arena in Newark.

Crawford has family in metro Atlanta, and as he visited the area, he saw what a great city it would be for a the business.

“Atlanta’s a foodie town,” he said. “There’s a lot of restaurants, different flavors, a very dense population, a ton of people in one setting, universities. In Midtown and downtown alone, you’ve got Georgia State and Georgia Tech. A bunch of conferences. There’s great support in terms of business.”

The Bro-Ritos menu includes burritos (which can also be made into bowls), tacos and quesadillas. One of their top sellers: the Suavemente Bro, which includes rice, beans, ground beef, fried sweet plantains, cheese, sour cream and hot sauce.

“It gives you the flavor of spicy and sweet,” Crawford said.

Bro-Ritos is expected to open in Atlanta by November 2024. Follow Bro-Ritos on Instagram at @broritosft , or sign up for email updates here . They are also looking to hire staff for the new location.

CODA is a mixed-use development in Midtown with 645,000 square feet of office space. Other concepts at the food hall include Aviva by Kameel, Poke Burri, Humble Mumble and the cocktail bar By Weight and Measure.

The food hall has been lacking an option for Mexican cuisine since El Burro Pollo closed in June .
