El Patrón Junior to Open New Location at Marketplace at Nexton

A local Mexican restaurant has recently signed a lease for a new location at Summerville ’s latest commercial development.

El Patrón Junior has been added to the lineup of eateries at Marketplace at Nexton , joining Dunkin’, sweetFrog , Subway , and others.

Although the exact address of the eatery has not yet been disclosed, the development will be situated at the intersection of Nexton Parkway and Cross Park Lane .

While Nexton.com refers to the restaurant as El Patron Mexican Restaurant, an employee of El Patrón Junior confirmed that the eatery will indeed be opening a second location at the site.

Despite a slight language barrier, El Patrón owner Rogelio “Roger” Villalpando told What Now Charleston that the upcoming restaurant will offer traditional Mexican cuisine, including classic dishes like tacos, nachos, quesadillas, burritos, enchiladas, and fajitas.

An official opening date for El Patrón Junior has not yet been announced, but Marketplace at Nexton is anticipated to launch in late 2025.
