A local restaurateur is expanding his portfolio with a new steakhouse in downtown Myrtle Beach .

Sam Lauren will soon open Uptown Bistro at 6901 N Kings Hwy , according to The Sun News . A post from a friend of Lauren’s on the Myrtle Vegas Facebook group confirms this news.

Previously, What Now Charleston reported that a project was in the works at this location, though details, including the exact address, were not yet known.

Lauren told The Sun News that Uptown Bistro will serve breakfast and lunch, with prime steak offered for dinner. The eatery will also feature an in-house bakery.

The restaurant will boast an upscale ambiance, featuring large windows, a patio, and a deck with a balcony overlooking the water. Still under construction, the interior will be spacious and airy, complete with soft tones, wooden ceiling beams, and black pendant lights.

In addition to these ventures, Lauren is developing a new strip mall in Carolina Forest called Soho Town Center. This development will be anchored by a Soho Steak & Seafood restaurant and include a pizzeria.

Uptown Bistro is expected to open by the end of October 2024.

Because the other places he owns are so upscale. View of the water? It’s a little dirty pond.

6901 North Kings Highway is not “Downtown Myrtle Beach”. Stick with Charleston.
