Common Rice has applied for a permit to operate at the forthcoming Grandview Crossing food hall, called The Collective Market which is currently under construction and slated to open later this year. According to the language in the permit filing, the permit is for mechanical, electrical and plumbing work, as well as kitchen equipment for a merchant stall fit out space within an existing first floor market space within an existing multi-use building, with the projected cost of the work listed within the permit application as $100,000.

The Grandview Crossing development is a project being brought to the area by Thrive Companies, the real estate development company behind numerous other Columbus communities, including Quarry Trails and Jeffrey Park.

The exact food offerings that Common Rice will serve aren’t clear. What Now Columbus reached out to the owner of the forthcoming eatery for comment, but the owner was not ready to share details at the time of this article’s publication.
