Felicity, a Coffee House and Natural Wine Bar, Plans to Launch This Summer

According to a recent Dayton.com article, a new establishment offering natural wine and coffee will soon open in uptown Centerville. Felicity will open in a historic building that is the former home of Aisle 9 Tattoo, located at 27 W Franklin St, in Uptown Centerville. The two-story brick building dates back to the 1800s and is currently being renovated by Felicity’s owners Earl Hatmaker and Megan Lees.

The business is currently slated to open mid-to-late summer, and the 1,800 square foot interior will house the coffee house, wine bar and retail space on the first floor, offering wine and beer to go, along with bags of coffee and tea and locally made goods, while the second floor will serve as the seating area, with room for 20 and 30 guests. There’s also a small patio with seating for an additional six to 10.

In terms of the decor of the space, Hatmaker and Lees tell What Now Columbus that the interior is still being designed, but the couple are working on restoring some of the historic details inside.

“We’re removing some of the plaster over the original brick and pulling up laminate that’s covering the hardwood floors,” Lees said of the space.

Guests can expect Boston Stoker coffee served and tea drinks made with Rishi Tea, as well as light bites including pastries and snacks, much of which will likely be made in house. The natural wines will include organically grown and sustainably produced selections.

Hatmaker and Lees are local business owners who also operate Power Plant Juice Bar , an organic juice bar and eatery that serves items such as smoothie bowls, salads and plant-based sandwiches.
