New Anime Themed Restaurant Making Plans to Open in Hungarian Village

According to recent reporting , a new anime-themed restaurant is making plans to open. Hidden Leaf Cafe will open at 181 E Innis Ave, and guests of the eatery can expect to find cosplaying waitstaff, an interior decor that’s largely inspired by the anime series Naruto and an anime-inspired food menu.

The eatery is being brought to the Columbus community by co-owners Destiny Ellison and Marquise Pirela. According to Ellison, the owners want Hidden Leaf Cafe to be anything but traditional and for guests to come into the establishment not knowing what to expect.

“We want the menu to be a fusion and for customers to come in with an open mind and know there are no rules,” Ellison said of the menu.

Some examples of the fusion menu items include elements of Mexican, Asian, Indian, African and Caribbean cuisines. With room for around 20 guests inside and an additional 10 to 12 more outdoors, the decor will feature a cherry blossom tree, a replica of the swing that appears in Naruto , as well as elements from other anime series.

In addition, customers are encouraged to come dine at the restaurant in their favorite cosplay costume. And, the anime inspiration doesn’t stop with the restaurant, as the owners are also planning to open an anime themed Airbnb above the restaurant next year.

Since the menu will incorporate so many elements, Ellison and Pirela plan on doing a series of “pre-opening” menu offerings from August 30 through October 6, with the grand opening currently slated for October 10.
