According to a recently filed permit, a new Dunkin’ Donuts location is on its way to Columbus. The donut chain is making plans to open at 1710 N High St, near OSU. The permit filing lists Ohio-based The Gilligan Company as the franchisee for the North High Street Dunkin’.

And the  $425,000 renovations that will transform the former Key Bank location into a Dunkin’ storefront include framing, electrical, plumbing, HVAC and flooring work, according to information found in the filing. Per the architectural drawings associated with the permit filing, the proposed Dunkin’ location will be around 2,000-square-feet and have seating for just under 20 guests.

The Gilligan Company operates Dunkin’ Donuts in Dayton, Columbus and Cincinnati, as well as being a franchisor for other national chains Subway and Popeye restaurants, as well as some convenience store locations.

The typical Dunkin’ location serves donuts, breakfast foods and coffee, but according to information on the company’s website , ‘NextGen’ Dunkin’ locations feature a digital kiosk known as Dunkin’ on Demand, mobile pickup areas that help deliver faster service and a tap system for iced teas, cold brew coffee and nitro cold brew coffee. Per information found in the submitted permit documents, the North High Street location will be a NextGen store.
