Beavercreek Chick-fil-A to Close for a Four Month Long Renovation

A Dayton area Chick-fil-A restaurant is set to close in order to undergo a massive renovation, according to a recent Dayton.com article. The chicken restaurant chain located at 2360 N Fairfield Rd is slated to close for four months in order to undergo what franchisee Rex Brooking calls “a major reinvestment” into the eatery.

The 17 year old store will see an update to its color palette as well as a refresh to its furniture and fixtures. Brooking explained that the “down to the studs renovation” will also include some expansion.

“The kitchen is growing in footprint dramatically to improve throughput capacity and the drive-thru will also grow for throughput capacity,” he said.

While some Chick-fil-A renovations of this magnitude can include removal of an eatery’s indoor play area, Brooking says that’s not the case for the Beavercreek location.

“We’re keeping the play area because this area has lots of young families and it gets used often.”

Brooking is the franchisee for the Chick-fil-A located at The Mall at Fairfield Commons as well, and said during the Beavercreek restaurant closure, plans are in place to offer guests who’d normally patronize the Fairfield Road restaurant a drive-thru option. That drive-thru will feature two lanes and will be located in the parking lot at The Mall at Fairfield Commons between Macy’s, Dick’s Sporting Goods and the Regal movie theatre, with all orders placed serviced out of the Chick-fil-A located in the mall’s kitchen.

While Brooking expects to have a grand re-opening once the renovations are complete, that celebratory date hasn’t been chosen yet, but he encourages guests to come back and check out the new store when it’s finished.
