Tacos Tequila Whiskey Giving Way to Rolling Pin Pizza

Local restauranteur Kevin Morrison is making some changes to his lineup of concepts, Denver Post reports . The flagship space of his business Tacos Tequila Whiskey (1514 York St.) has closed to make way for a new company: Rolling Pin Pizza.

The restaurant’s last day was in late February, and Morrison posted on social media that it was a “bittersweet day.” The East Colfax location had been open since 2012, and before that the business was a popular food truck.

Morrison’s KTM Restaurant Group is behind Tacos Tequila Whiskey, RiNo’s Fish N Beer, and the now-shuttered Poco Torteria. The Highlands location of Tacos Tequila Whiskey will remain open amidst the change. A Denver International airport location is also coming.

Rolling Pin Pizza will specialize in Midwestern tavern-style pizzas, with thin, square-cut pies crafted with precision. The business will have a classic line-up of pizzas, as well as rotating monthly specials, and cocktails.
