Local Restaurant Group Planning New Fast Casual Concept

Denver-based Imperial Restaurant Group has an expansion in the works in the Denver Metro area. The group, which currently owns Imperial Chinese on South Broadway, will be rolling out a new fast-casual concept called Imperial To Go .

The planned brand expansion comes in tandem with a deal the restaurant group recently closed in which it purchased four Sushi-Rama locations throughout the Greater Denver area, according to the Denver Business Journal .

The spaces they acquired include a 2,349-square-foot space in Aurora at 13650 E. Colfax Ave. , a 2,688-square-foot location at 4960 S. Newport St. in Denver’s Belleview Station, a 2,021-square-foot space in Lone Tree at 10012 Commons St., Building C, Unit 106 , and a 2,209-square-foot restaurant in Broomfield at 8181 Arista Place .

The spots, formerly home to conveyor-belt sushi concept Sushi-Rama, will serve a menu that parallels the cuisine found at Imperial Chinese but with a fast-casual twist. Imperial Chinese serves authentic Chinese cuisine, including dumplings, sesame chicken, fried rice and lo mein.

“Imperial To Go will feature the most popular items found at The Imperial, offering high-quality ingredients and dishes in a more casual and modern setting with a liquor license, in-house seating, pickup and delivery,” Liz Morgan, senior advisor and vice president at Pinnacle Real Estate Advisors — who represented Imperial in the deal — told the Denver Business Journal. “After opening these locations, they plan to expand the concept throughout the market.”

Currently, the timeline for the launch of the Imperial To Go concept at these new locations is unclear.

Sushi-Rama continues to operate at one location in RiNo at 2615 Larimer St.
