A new restaurant called Host has received site plan approval from the city of Romeo earlier this summer. The proposed restaurant sits at 209 N Main St and was previously used as business offices.

Dave Thomas , a realtor at Best Life & Co. Real Estate , is proposing to develop Host Restaurant on the first floor of the building on the corner of North Main Street and 32 Mile Road. Oakland-based RLA Studios created the design. The company has a diverse portfolio of residential and commercial designs, including Eat Well Cafe on the Sterling Heights Campus.

The restaurant will occupy approximately 1,600 square feet with an estimated maximum occupancy of 49 guests, according to planning commission records. The remaining 2,100 square feet of the building will remain as office spaces, housing Rolling Stream mercantile and the Best Life & Co.

What Now Detroit reached out to Thomas but hadn’t heard back by the time of this coverage. A few other dining options exist in the area, including Main’s Treat Coffeehouse, Main Street Romeo Kitchen + Bar, and The Green Light Vegan Foods.
