Stoney Ridge Winery to Open New Lakeshore Restaurant

Stoney Ridge Winery in Kent County is expanding its footprints with an upcoming full-service restaurant planned at 8725 Water St. in Montague . The restaurant is anticipated to open sometime in mid-September.

Founded by Mary Smearman Flanery and her husband, Dale Flanery , Stoney Ridge Winery grew from a home winemaking hobby to an 18-acre vineyard with a tasting room and a full-service restaurant on the property at 2255 Indian Lakes Road. The owners then began their search for a second location to continue the growth momentum and eventually laid eyes on Montague, a small town on White Lake.

The new tasting room and restaurant will occupy the 1,200-square-foot space that was formerly White Lake Signs. Flanery then began working on renovations, including a full interior revamp and new water lines, bathrooms, and a kitchen.

“We will have everything on the menu, from appetizers to pizzas, sandwiches, and entrees,” Flanery told What Now Detroit over the phone. “We are almost complete with construction and are hoping to open in mid-September.” A Crain’s coverage also mentioned that Flanery may add a beer list within the next year in response to customer interest.
