A new Chick-fil-A is slated to open this fall in Fort Gratiot as part of the chain’s expansion in Michigan. The new restaurant is located at 4783 24th Ave , directly in front of the Meijer store. This news was first seen in The Time Herald .

Plans for the upcoming location first received approval last November and the previous property, which once belonged to a Golden Corral restaurant, has been demolished. According to the plans submitted, the new restaurant will occupy an impressive 5,100-square-foot building with 70 indoor seats, 20 outdoor seats, and a two-lane drive-through.

The new restaurant will be owned and operated by Ryan Weston , whose relationship with Chick-fil-A dated back to his days in North Carolina as Operating Partner for the chain’s Hendersonville location for over two years. Weston also came in with his entrepreneurial spirit and experience as the owner of a full-service residential and commercial cleaning company based in Ashville.

What Now Detroit reached out to Weston but hadn’t heard back by the time of this coverage. According to a press release sent by the Chick-fil-A corporation, the location is anticipated to open sometime this fall.
