Gritz N’ Wafflez Is Moving to Wilshire Boulevard

Gritz N Wafflez, a brunch spot by restaurateur Jurni Rayne, seems to be working on a new location at 3183 Wilshire Blvd , per a recent liquor license application. The restaurant is currently located in Pico-Union at 1243 S Alvarado. In a recent post on their Facebook page , the eatery commented that they’re “moving to a larger location with better parking soon.”

Rayne is originally from Dallas, Texas and relocated to Los Angeles in 2014. She has been working in the restaurant industry since she was 18 years-old and realized her dream of owning her own restaurant with the launch of Gritz N Wafflez.

The breakfast and brunch spot offers a variety of, well, grits and waffles, including mixed berry waffles, peach cobbler waffles, bacon cheddar waffles, Shrimp N’ Gritz, Southern Fried Catfish N’ Gritz, plus other items like French toast, wing baskets, tenders baskets, collard greens, mac n’ cheese, coffee, fresh-squeezed orange juice, and more.

An opening date for the new location is still unknown. Rayne could not be immediately reached for comment.
