Simon, a real estate investment trust engaged in the ownership of premier shopping, dining, entertainment and mixed-use destinations, announced six new leasing commitments that add to the Brea Mall’s multimillion-dollar redevelopment project.

Coming soon are shopper-favorite brands gorjana, which features fine and casual jewelry, and Garage, a casual clothing concept designed for specifically for young women; restaurant concepts North Italia, which features Italian fare and Kalbi Social, which offers Korean barbeque and other traditional favorites; The Alley, which includes freshly prepared specialty teas, boba and more; and Check n’ Play, an enriching play cafe for children under the age of six (and their parents, of course.)

These new offerings join the previously announced additions of new retailers Zara and Dick’s Sporting Goods; food and beverage destinations Din Tai Fung, Pacific Catch, The Melt, and Philz Coffee, plus a new 90,000 square foot Life Time athletic club. Pottery Barn is also relocating from the main mall to an expanded store front in the new area. In addition, Brea Mall is also welcoming Taranis, featuring crafted children’s shoes and now open on the lower level near Macy’s Men’s Store, retailers Voluspa, Luxury Lab Watches & Jewelry and Slimeatory and dining destinations Tang Bar and HeyTea all opening in the coming months.

“We are seeing incredible demand from leading brands and dining concepts that want to be part of the growing excitement at Brea Mall,” said Ruben Perez, Executive Vice President of Leasing for Simon, owner of Brea Mall in a statement. “Across the country and around the world, Simon is strategically investing in its marquee properties to ensure they remain the most desirable destinations to eat, shop, stay and play in their communities. Once complete, Brea Mall will undoubtedly be North Orange County’s ultimate lifestyle destination.”

Redevelopment efforts are set to open in phases starting in Spring 2025. The entirely redeveloped space will feature 119,000 square feet of world-class brands, eateries, entertainment destinations, along with 380 elegant new multi-family residences. Each of these apartments will feature vibrant plaza views, coveted amenities, refined service and dedicated on-site parking that is easily accessible to both the retailer avenue and outdoor plaza. Brea residents and visitors will also be able to attend seasonal outdoor gatherings and events in the beautifully manicured outdoor plaza found adjacent to shops and restaurants.

“The continued investment in our retail growth will elevate the already appealing shopping, lifestyle and dining experiences at Brea Mall,” said Nate Weirbach, Director of Marketing & Business Development, Brea Mall. “From families gathering in the outdoor plaza to shoppers exploring our newest retailer streetscape, our visitors will find so much to experience in our welcoming reimagined space.”
