Shoma Bazaar, Doral’s cultural hub, welcomes B&D Trap BBQ as its newest vendor. The BBQ concept with bold Texas flavors is known for its slow-cooked, smoky meats, with an assortment of succulent offerings such as tender ribs, savory brisket, and delicious pulled pork sandwiches. The addition of this BBQ spot is sure to enhance the food hall’s lineup of 11 other vendors, offering visitors a true taste of Texas BBQ right in the heart of Miami-Dade. The Shoma Bazaar location will be B&D Trap BBQ’s second, following the success of its first in Fort Lauderdale.

“Shoma Bazaar has always celebrated diverse flavors and culinary artistry, so we are beyond thrilled to bring B&D Trap BBQ to our vibrant community. B&D Trap BBQ’s commitment to authentic, slow-cooked Texas BBQ is the perfect addition to our lineup,” Stephanie Shojaee, president of Shoma Group, said in a statement. “We can’t wait for guests to experience the bold and smoky traditional flavors that have made B&D Trap BBQ a sensation in South Florida. This is more than just an addition to Shoma Bazaar; this marks a new chapter in our culinary story, and we are excited to savor it.”

B&D Trap BBQ was founded on the principle of delivering top-quality Texas BBQ to South Florida. Texas BBQ, established over a century ago, is distinguished by its use of wood smoke pits, which evenly disperse hot air across the meat. This method relies on simple ingredients, low cooking temperatures, and Texas post oak, a dense wood that burns slowly and absorbs moisture in humid climates, enhancing the meat’s flavor with a subtle smokiness.

B&D Trap BBQ embraces this long-mastered technique by using locally sourced white oak, which closely resembles traditional Texas post oak. The wood is stored outdoors, allowing the South Florida humidity to season it, thereby enhancing the authentic BBQ flavors.

Kevin Rodriguez, B&D Trap BBQ’s Co-Founder, has extensive experience in the hospitality industry through his ventures across Miami, New York, and Dublin. His passion for BBQ took him on a nationwide journey to uncover the best BBQ traditions. This, along with Rodriguez’s status as a South Florida resident for several years, led to the creation of a genuine Texas BBQ experience in South Florida.

“Bringing B&D Trap BBQ to Shoma Bazaar is a dream come true for us,” says Kevin. “We’re eager to serve our slow-cooked, flavorful BBQ to the Doral community and become a part of this exciting culinary destination.”

As Shoma Bazaar embraces B&D Trap BBQ with open arms, guests can expect to experience the same dedication to quality and flavor that has made the Fort Lauderdale location a favorite among BBQ enthusiasts. B&D Trap BBQ is set to make its debut as a full-time vendor on October 1.

Founded by real estate development firm Shoma Group, Shoma Bazaar is an culinary and beverage destination in Doral, home to unique programming and an array of diverse culinary options such as American, Italian, Latin, and Asian cuisine. Shoma Bazaar is located at 9420 NW 41st St, Doral, FL 33178. Hours of operations are Sunday-Wednesday, 9:30 a.m. – 10 p.m.; Thursday, 9:30 a.m. – 11 p.m.; and Friday & Saturday, 9:30 a.m. – 1 a.m.
