The R&B Lounge in Baton Rouge is Expanding

Only open since December 2022, The R&B Lounge in Baton Rouge has gotten wildly popular and owner Bianca Perkins is looking to expand the business. According to an application filed with the city’s planning department, Perkins is looking to expand the lounge into the adjacent suite at 3151 College Dr. The planning commission is scheduled to review the application at its upcoming meeting on May 20.

As the name indicates, The R&B Lounge has become known for featuring the sounds of artists, like D’Angelo and New Edition . It’s a vibe that plays will to the grown-and-sexy crowd, whether it’s for a date night, a girl’s night out or just a bit of nostalgia. With so many bars and lounges catering to young adults, The R&B Lounge has filled a particular demand for people who grew up in the ’80s and ’90s. In addition to the throwback sounds, the lounge also offers classic comfort food like chicken and sausage gumbo, chicken wings, and burgers. There’s also a menu for brunch for people who like to do their socializing early on in the day
