Good food and good times are officially on the menu for Freehold Township. The local planning board has approved the building of a Dave & Busters, a chain known for its pairing of delicious bar food with arcade entertainment, reports local media outlet Asbury Park Press .

The restaurant will occupy a staggering 40,158 square feet in the Freehold Raceway Mall, located at 3710 US-9. Dave & Buster’s is moving into the space that formerly housed Sears, a location the eatery will split with the Freehold Athletic Club.

The storefront’s impressive square footage will allow Dave & Buster’s to welcome a large crowd. Plans state that the restaurant will have 137 tables and 545 seats. The Freehold location will feature the games fans of the chain have come to know and love; in addition to a full service bar and restaurant, Dave & Buster’s will include a cutting-edge arcade.

An opening timeline is not currently available, however Freehold Township only approved the proposal on Thursday, June 27, making it improbable the restaurant will open before 2025.
