Another Starbucks is Coming to Arden-Arcade

A new drive-thru Starbucks planned at 2222 Watt Avenue received conditional approval from the Arden-Arcade Community Planning Advisory Council on January 23, 2024. The location is currently waiting to receive its permits to begin the work on the vacant lot.

According to application documents, the 2,200-square-foot Starbucks cafe will have a drive-thru and a patio seating area. The new Starbucks project also includes new driveways, parking areas, and landscapes at the corner of Watt Avenue and Cody Way. Site design shows a total of twenty-three parking spaces and two driveways from Cody Way, merging into one drive-thru lane.

The upcoming Watt Avenue Starbucks sits across the street from a Costco Business Center and is only blocks away from the Country Club Plaza shopping mall. There is also another Starbucks location a few blocks down the street on the corner of Watt Avenue and Kings Way.

Once open, the new Starbucks will have five employees per shift and operate during the brand’s standard business hours from 4:30 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., Monday through Sunday, according to submitted materials.

UPDATE: What Now Sacramento reached out to Chris Dage , Starbucks Northern California Regional Director. Dage replied in a text that he did not have information to share regarding this particular location.
