According to a recent permit filing, Modoo has filed for a location in Federal Way at 31218 Pacific Highway S Suite H.

A representative of Modoo was not immediately available for commentary upon What Now Seattle’s request.

While an official opening date has yet to be confirmed, according to the permit filing, Modoo was filed under Yeadahm Corporation. Washington Company Search states that Yeadahm Corporation was incorporated on February 25th, 2020.

Listed on the permit and business filing is James Kang. In addition to James, on the business filing, Soo-Yeon Lee is also listed.

When doing a little bit of research on Modoo, it appears that there is another franchise location in Lynnwood. According to the company website , “Modoo Korean Restaurant aims to provide a comfortable, high-quality, and satisfying dining experience by using locally sourced ingredients.”

“Our first restaurant, <Modoo Restaurant> was made with the expectation to provide comfortable, high quality, and satisfying experience using local ingredients.  Being one of the more diverse cities in Washington, we strive to offer something for everybody. From traditional and heartwarming soups to the inconceivable, flavorful fish and meat dishes, we guarantee quality top-notch food.”

Shouldn't an article about Modoo at least mention what it is? It implores that it's a restaurant, but that was toward the end of the article. What happened to journalism?

No, thank you. We have enough korean restaurants in federal way. There are still some Americans left here, and it would be really nice to have some food for the rest of us. Soul food would be a great idea. There are actually a lot of people at the military base and around town that are from the south. It seems that anyone other than Asian people needs to start out with a food truck first. But people in Asian get a brand new restaurants and take up an entire strip mall. Why are we losing all the diversity?
