Fort Adams State Park in Newport, R.I. is hosting a special memorial to honor the men and women who lost their lives in the war on terrorism. The memorial consists of over 7,000 combat boots, symbolizing the U.S. service members who were killed in the Global War on Terror post 9/11. Each boot is accompanied by a tag bearing the name of a fallen soldier. This patriotic display is open free to the public from May 24th to May 27th. 🇺🇸🪖🎖️🥾 #operationstanddown #fortadams #newportri #rhodeisland #whatsgoingoninrhodeisland.
